Paulownia trees produce seeds

This Japanese micro-season runs from July 23rd through the 28th. The Ohio River valley shouldn’t have many Paulownia trees but we can take this as an opportunity to consider the importance of native plants as keepers of time and indicators of change. For example, the EPA keeps a record of leaf and bloom dates for two widespread plant species as an indicator of climate change.
